Oh my friends, we are about to embark on a magical journey, and I am READY for it.

Our first session of the SELKIE CIRCLE is happening this evening Thursday 8th May, 8-9.30pm Irish/UK time (I will try to keep our weekly sessions to one hour, but this first one might run slightly longer).

All the joining details are at the bottom of this post.

What can I do to prepare myself for this beautiful, soulful circle?

Whether or not you are familiar with one version or another of the Selkie’s tale, if you feel so inclined, you could read my retelling of it, right here:

(Not to worry if you can’t – we’ll read it together to open our circle.)

What you will need…

Some suggestions. None are required. Come as you are.

  • a candle, of course. Let’s sit in circle around the “fire”.

  • a quiet space where you can talk freely

  • pen and paper or notebook (optional)

  • and the obligatory snacks, nice drinks, etc.

Are you looking forward to it?

On Sunday I sat in circle with other women on the beach, and we talked about meeting our Bealtaine moment.

Bealtaine, which in Irish means both May Day, or Beltane, and the month of May, is all about blossoming and growth.

But it’s only natural that there should also be some resistance and nerves. Because we can never be truly ready.

What we must do instead is trust, and meet our Bealtaine moment – which is about stepping out of our comfort zone; to dare, to let go, to dive in.

Come with me, let’s swim out into the blue, following the call of the Selkie.

Ready?

let's swim out into the blue
